If you’ve been thinking of starting up on a raw foods diet, it’s important that you carefully plan out this diet approach in accordance with your workouts. Those who are very involved in their workout program have specific nutrient requirements and if these requirements are not met, problems can and will likely arise. Consequences can be high levels of fatigue, muscle mass loss, decreased strength and muscular endurance. You don’t want to take a blind approach here as the consequences can be high levels of fatigue, muscle mass loss, decreased strength and muscular endurance, as well as poor sports performance if you happen to be involved in athletic events.

Here are some of the most important things to remember if you’re planning on starting up a raw foods diet.

Get Complex Carbohydrates Before The Workout
The first thing that you must make sure you do is get enough complex carbohydrates in your diet before you head out to do your workout. These complex carbohydrates are what will provide the fuel your body needs to get through those gruelling workout sessions, so without them, you’re going to sputter out quickly. One of the simplest complex carbohydrates to have before a workout is raw unprocessed oats. Mix these with a small amount of dried fruit, organic raw nuts and some honey for added sweetness. Then form into tiny balls that can easily be consumed before you head off to the gym.

Finish The Workout With Fast-Acting Carbohydrates
Second, you also must make sure you get a head start on proper recovery by including a fast acting carbohydrate source immediately following your workout. This is when the muscles are most likely to suck this glucose up instantly, helping to regenerate the muscle glycogen that powers you through your exercise session. Sugars will be broken down faster in the body than a grain source which requires more reactions to take place. Fresh fruit or dried fruit works great in this case as the sugars will be broken down faster in the body than a grain source which requires more reactions to take place.
Juice also works well so if you’re not in the mood to consume solid foods after a hard workout, that’s a good option to turn to.

Do Not Neglect Protein
Protein is a nutrient that is often quite low in those practicing a raw food diet because unlike typical diets, you will not consume any cooked meat. Instead, turn to raw hemp seeds, nuts, as well as beans to get as much dietary protein in as possible. Beans, also mentioned as a good pre-workout carb, are really ideal for before your workout as long as you don’t find them so heavy that you cannot workout.

You should aim to get one gram per pound of body weight if you can, however you may find this increasingly difficult, especially if you choose not to incorporate a form of protein powder in with your diet. Just be sure you don’t go below half a gram of protein per pound of bodyweight or you may risk losing muscle mass while exercising. Being sure to get in enough carbohydrates will also help to eliminate the risk of this occurring as well since that will help prevent incoming protein being utilized as a primary fuel source.

Take In Enough Calories Total
Finally, the last thing that you must be sure to be on the lookout for is total calorie intake. If you’re meal plan on your raw food diet contains mostly fresh fruits and vegetables, your calorie intake is going to end up being very low and this can make it incredibly hard to get enough energy in to get you through your activities. Active individuals who exercise three to five times a week should aim to eat at fourteen calories per pound of body weight, so do a quick calculation for yourself.

If you’re aiming to lose weight you will want to eat slightly less than this but do remember that there is definitely a limit as to how low you can take your calories. If you bring them too low you risk your metabolism slowing down, preventing further fat loss from taking place. So be sure you keep these tips in mind if you’re starting up on a raw food diet and are an active individual. You want to be extra sure you’re getting the right foods at the right times of the day because this is what will help you see optimal results from your workout plan.

Bizerba presents the VPI Label

Balingen, 28th June 2010 – Only one label with printable areas for different kinds of data from hundreds of products. Advantages for the food trade: No more changing of labels and labelling mistakes, reduced storage costs and mass circulation will ensure profitable investments. Exclusive laminate production allows for the pin-sharp printing of tiny fonts.

The VPI label (variable product information) is an individually implemented industry trend. With the Bizerba laminate it will be possible to use the same label for an entire product range consisting of hundreds of different products. The basic layout is pre-printed according to company-specific parameters – for example with logo, slogan and a general corporate design. The areas for the variable data such as product name, date, charge, weight, price and barcode are empty at the time of delivery.

With the help of the Bizerba GLM-I and GLP labelling machines the customer will be able to print details as to the nutritional value, the contents, special offers and the packaging date on the printable areas by himself. Marc Büttgenbach, the Sales Manager for Labels and Consumables at Bizerba, explains the advantages for the food trade: “The fact that only one label is required from now on reduces on the one hand, the operating costs for the storage of several kinds of labels and on the other hand, there are no more changeover times for the exchanging of labels during product changes and labelling mistakes are also a thing of the past. This way it is no longer possible that a ham label is applied to Salami. In addition the customer can order the universal label in substantial quantities and thereby save even more.” The sample label is from the company Greifenfleisch in Greifswald, a producer of high-quality meat and sausage products.

For the production of VPI labels only high-quality raw materials with specially designed thermal coating on a lactone basis and an exclusive laminate that is only employed by Bizerba are used. This laminate serves as the bonding for material, adhesive and silicon carrier, thus being responsible for the proper function of the VPI label in the first place. “During production an exact and even glue coating is the most important criterion for the optimum functionality of the labels – legibility, but also permanent adhesion and constant colour quality are directly affected by this,” Büttgenbach adds.

The specially designed combination of high-quality label and Bizerba labelling machines makes it possible not only to print the barcode but also even the tiniest fonts legibly and in pin-sharp quality. The thermal coating also contains components triggering a cleaning effect at the heating points of the thermal elements, thus contributing substantially to the long and failure-free product life of the Bizerba labelling machines.

Any customer that implements such a system label will achieve a more efficient production process through the reduced number of labels and the optimised production cycle. “The cost savings and the plus in productivity will amortise the investment in this high-quality label very quickly,” Büttgenbach concluding.

Now a days Stainless Steel is used as the material of construction for Dairy and Food processing equipments world over to achieve the most exact requirements for easy maintenance, sanitation, product preservation, corrosion resistance and to avoid health hazardous effects of aluminium and plastic. Stainless Steel products are well accepted and appreciated in India as well as other developing and developed countries around the world.

Stainless Steel has got higher strength, higher yield-point and relatively higher hardness than aluminum and plastic. It has strong resistance to factors like abrasion, mechanical deformation etc. It is strongly resistant to corrosion.
It is very easy to clean S.S.cans. It has smooth surface finish and is free of pits & scratches. It prevents adhesion of food / milk particles to its surface and thus protects the food from any higher rate of microbial growth. Its strength and durability ensures it much better life span than lids of any other conventional material.

Stainless Steel facilitate easy and fast cleaning. It saves lots of chemicals, energy and man hours.
Research studies have established that poor cleaning of milk can is the principal cause for very high bacterial count in raw milk when received at the dairy. Since Stainless Steel surface can be very effectively cleaned., it’s super smooth construction has a clear advantage over aluminum alloy and plastic cans. Moreover, this operation can be done using even washing soda, if needed, which otherwise is not possible with aluminum alloy can (esp. when subjected to manual cleaning/ scrubbing).

Long life: Stainless Steel does not require any protective coating. There is negligible weight loss. The strong stainless steel body resists all wear and tear – thus giving wide time interval between purchase & replacement.

Frankly,Stainless Steel is not at all costly. Very low maintenance and longer operational durability makes it comparatively cheaper in long run.

So, more and more people visit this country and call it regularly to experience the fun and joy lying over here.

High expenses of ISD calls and mobile calls are a little distraction to callers. But advent of VoIP services has averted this unpleasant situation and helped people to make cheap calls to this country and stay connected with the country for a longer time. Now people can experience the zing of being in touch with this country and enjoy the excitement of thrilling events happening in this country. VoIP is an internet protocol that stands for Voice over internet protocol. People can make cheap distant calls by using VoIP services. These VoIP calls can also be made by using telephone instruments. As in normal telphone connections, we had to take services of telecom operators.

Similarly, to convert our telephone to VoIP phones, we will have to take services of VoIP service providers. These VoIP companies provide us softwares by the help of which we can make cheap offshore calls. These cheap calls not only facilitated common people to call Belgium but also reduced high expenses of big companies spent in calling Belgium. VoIP calls also became very popular inside Belgium to call other countries. There are many companies that provide cheap VoIP calls to other countries from Belgium and there are also many companies located in different parts of the world that provide cheap VoIP calls Belgium. When there are companies that provide cheap calls to call Belgium via VoIP then why people would look for other mediums? If you want to search a VoIP service provider in your area, you can simply search it on net.

Classifying food is like labeling people. Too often, the description is inaccurate, or doesn’t give you a full picture of what’s inside. Organic meat, natural meat, grass-fed beef, free-range chicken, hormone-free milk…there are a lot of terms floating around out there in the shopping place.

So what should an average shopper do? When it comes to agricultural products such as produce, grains, dairy and meats, most of us don’t have the ability of getting to know our local farms and farmers. Here are some general tips:
1. Buy your meat, dairy and produce from a known source.
2. Learn how to “read between the lines” of food labels.
3. Arrange based on concerns such as taste, convenience, health, food safety, the environment, humane animal treatment, and advocating small family farms.
4. Advocate for accurate labeling by the USDA and the FDA.

Organic Different Than Natural?

The easy answer to the above question is Yes. While some producers of “natural meat” may follow organic farming practices, there is no enforced definition of the term. Organic meat, on the other hand, is enforced to adhere to strict standards accepted by
the USDA National Organic Program.

Here’s are some basic, useful definitions of Natural, Hormone Free, Organic and Grass Fed:

Natural – “Natural” sounds good, but the truth is that it doesn’t mean much on a meat label. The FDA does not enforce the use of the term “natural” except for added color, synthetic substances, and flavors. For example: meat labeled natural can be raised on farms that use pesticides on their fields and in their animal feed.

Hormone Free – This allegation can be misleading even when it’s technically true. All poultry is free of hormones. Hormones haven’t been licensed in poultry or pork in the U.S. since 1959.

Organic – When you see the USDA “organic” label, you know the food inside has passed rigid guidelines. Here’s a summary of what it means when meat passes the organic test:
- Organic farmers do not use antibiotics or synthetic growth hormones.
- Organic meat comes from animals that are given 100 percent organic feed.
- Organic animals are given access to the outdoors and/or pastures.
- Organic farms do no use most conventional pesticides, synthetic fertilizers, bioengineering, or ionizing radiation.
- Organic farmers emphasize the use of renewable resources and the conservation of soil and water to enhance environmental quality for future generations.
- Organic farms are inspected by a Government-approved certifier to make sure the farmer is following all the rules necessary to meet USDA organic standards. Companies that handle or process organic meats must be certified, too.

Grass Fed – As of November 2007, the U.S. Department of Agriculture began regulating a voluntary “U.S. Grass Fed” label for beef and lamb. The regulations require that the animal has access to pasture and isn’t fed grain. Grass-fed beef is lower in saturated fat and cholesterol than conventional beef, with more vitamins and “good fats” like Omega-3s and CLAs.

Donna Jefferson has been an advocate living healthy. Organic Meat is her specialty and would like to share facts with the public.

One ray of light amongst the global recession is the rapid increase in farming. Farming across England has dramatically increased by a tremendous 36% since last year and is set to increase even more.

In 2008 the UK was subject to a sudden rise in food prices. Every supermarket added a little bit more on to each item to accommodate for the lack of food coming into the country. After all our farmers can no way supply food to the entire nation so we rely on imports from other countries. The consequences of these actions will mean that food is going to be expensive to produce in the UK. If you think about how much the country consumes. There simply is not enough farmers to cater.

The English government has recently committed to a new program for farmers to ultimately make all their expenses a less expensive than before. Farmers will surely be able to develop their crops and produce food for a much cheaper rate than before. Ideally we all want to see farmers care for the land as they seek to produce as much as possible, in a sustainable way and with high welfare standards. This is what society want’s to see happen.

Could we be looking at a mass shortage in food across the country over the coming years? I sincerely hope not and I know that many people across the country would not want to give up their weekly takeaways for anyone.

So what can we do about it? Well, in my opinion that government has acted fast by developing new laws to lower expenses incurred by farmers ultimately making their lives easier to produce food for the nation. Yet the number of farmers is dramatically reducing in the country with hundreds of farms abandoned and not producing anything what so ever. I am confident that nothing too serious can come of this but you have to ask yourself if we are being as economical as possible to ensure our future generations a safe future.

The number of people who are really into wine is definitely on the increase. It usually starts of quite innocently with the enjoyment of a couple of glasses each evening, but people often get so engrossed in the wine world it becomes a real hobby. They’ve invested in a vintage collection of wine wines, they’ve converted their spare room into a storage cellar, bought a selection of different wine glasses so that they can get the maximum enjoyment of each wine variety, and have all the required tableware gadgets for opening and pouring their wine.

The one thing that very few wine buffs have however is a wine map, which can show you more about wine regions that most books can. Gone are the days when wine maps were rough guides on various wine areas, and instead we now have quality maps that have been researched and updated regularly. The California wine map for example is updated every year due to the complicated layout of the area, especially after Napa Valley was officially recognized as an American Viticultural Area in 1981. This news brought the total AVAs in the area up to a staggering 108, which all vary in their wine materials and production.

Most people pick up their wine knowledge from talking to friends or reading the labels, but a wine map provides a visual representation of the different regions and fruit varieties. If you are lucky enough to be visiting an area of wine production, its is even more imperative that you have a wine map to take with you. Often different terrain overlaps between wine making regions so certain wines can be made up of a combination of different grapes and grape maturing conditions. A wine map will allow you to not only understand the wines better but also identify where the tastes and aromas coming from your wine glasses originated
