How To Cure Your Nervous Illness

How to Cure your nervous Illness
by Jennifer David

You should consult a doctor for any concerns that you may have with regards to your health.

For the simpler forms of nervous illness

Have you ever had a type of breakdown?

Have you ever had the feeling of fear that just does not seem to go away?

Have you ever felt stressed and not sure how to deal with it?

The feelings that occur that are constant; churning of the stomach, sweating hands and rapidly beating heart.

Whilst reoccurring attacks are; palpitations, ‘missed’ or ‘skipped’ heartbeats, pains around the heart, fear-spasms, trembling turns, giddiness, vomiting and breathlessness.

It is the constant symptoms that maintain the feeling of fear whilst the attacks that occur compound these feeling and make it more intense.

The cure that will help you are simple and yet many people spend their time doing the opposite.

The Cure

To cure these symptoms you have to:

Face it

Many people spend their time running away from their fears instead of facing them.

If you think about how many time you feared something before it happened and it either did not happen the way you thought that it would or it did not affect you in the way that you thought that it would.

I always say to my clients that fear is nothing more that false, evidence, appearing real.

F = False
E = Evidence
A = Appearing
R = Real
So as a very popular book title says “face the fear and do it anyway”

Accepting

This can be explained like this. You know how you feel when this or that, is happening to you or you think that something is going to happen.

You accept that you are going to feel fear in these situations.

Why not change you thinking?

Change your mood

How do you change your mood?

Start by thinking of something that you know will make you happy; something that you know would put a smile on your face.

You may say; I can not think happy thoughts when I am going through what I am going though.

OK I can see that … But ….

You can have a visual aid, a picture.

I use a picture of a beach. It shows sand, palm trees, and lots of see view where a sunset or rise could be, what ever I want to add to it. I use to carry it around with me where ever it went so that when I felt my mood going down, I would take it out and look at it.

Over time of carrying my picture around with me and taking it out to look at it when I felt the need, the picture would stay in my mind and I would just think of this picture and then I would visualize it in my mind and now this helps my mood. This takes time and patience with yourself and eventually you will get there.

Over time this will help you start to feel better in situations that would have made you feel fearful.

Although you maybe telling yourself that you have accepted that you feel a certain way does not mean that you have actually accepted it. What you say and what you are thinking should be in line with each other.

For example; if you say that you have accepted something but you are thinking that you can not stop whatever it is, then you are not in line with what you are saying and what you are thinking.

If you tell yourself that you are accepting that you feel a certain way in a situation then move on.

Moving on

Make a list of things that make you happy. At first this may appear heard but keep trying, first start with ten things and then increase until you get to fifty plus. This will help to keep you focused on positive things, whilst keeping your mind of your fears; it will also keep you motivated and keep your moods up.

Being patient with yourself

Be patient with yourself, and remember that everything takes time. You need to give yourself time with following the above information and little by little you will develop patience with yourself and find yourself feeling better and able to face it, accept it, and move on from it.
